The first thing to do: find a good nail file!
This is the nail file I use. These are quiet and making trimming nails a breeze! Nail clippers on little baby nails are so hard to use without accidentally snagging some skin. Electric nail files are the easiest and cleanest way to get the job done.
The next thing to do: get your baby to sleep!
This might sound a little strange, but my favorite time to trim my baby's nails is when she's asleep. My baby is not a fan of getting her nails done while she is awake. She will kick and grab the nail file, and it doesn't end well. I've discovered that if I trim her nails while she is taking a nap, she barely notices! It's been the easiest way to keep her nails short and round.
